Publishing Tactye tool 23/10/2026

On 23 October 2026 the full Tactye tool is published for everyone. Take part in the prize draw for a year of Tactye Standard, and see everything new since the last beta update — above all, the tactical board in 3D.

On October 23rd 2026 Tactye is published for everyone. The beta ends on October 22nd, and from then on the calendar, line-ups, practice plans, the Tactical Book, team statistics and the tactical board are one tool, open to every coach and club.

We’ve made a lot of changes since the last beta update. They will be available on October 23rd.

Thank you to every beta tester.

Don't forget the prize draw

We're giving away one year of Tactye Standard (Three teams). One winner will be drawn from all entries.

  1. Repost, like and comment on the prize draw post: one entry on LinkedIn lnkd.in/p/dECeuA3M and one on X. x.com/TactyeSports/status/2088944076611633175
  2. Sign up for Tactye: one extra entry.

That's up to three entries per person. The draw takes place on October 25th, and the winner will be announced here. Full rules: Prize draw rules

The tactical board in 3D

The biggest change since the last update: your tactical board now stands up in 3D.

  • Play it in 3D. In Play, choose 2D, 3D, or 2D and 3D side by side. Drag to turn the pitch all the way round, scroll or pinch to zoom.
  • Your own camera angle. Find a view you like and press Make this the board's 3D angle. The board keeps it, and opens with the same angle next time.
  • Film it in 3D. The video export can record the 3D view from the board's angle, so the drill your players see looks like the real pitch.
  • Players as figures. One button switches the players between discs and figures in their own jersey colour. The browser remembers your choice, and the video is filmed the same way.
  • Real equipment. Goals stand on round posts and a crossbar with a net, and cones, discs, flags, hurdles and baskets have shading and shadows.
  • Real sizes. A medium goal is the pitch's own goal: 7.32 x 2.44 m in football, 1.6 x 1.15 m in floorball, 1.83 x 1.22 m in ice hockey. Any goal or object can be made small, medium or large from its right-click menu.
  • New objects. An agility ladder lying on the ground, and a wall mannequin you can place side by side as a wall, in 2D and 3D.
  • Passes in the air. Bend a pass through its middle handle and it becomes an arc that flies as high as it bulges. In basketball a new pass is drawn as an arc, and a shot arcs over the rim and drops through the net. Drag the handle straight for a floor or bounce pass. Football passes stay on the ground unless you bend them.

More on the tactical board

  • Player facing: give a player a sector or an arrow to show where they look, and turn it phase by phase.
  • While you draw, resize or move an area, you see its width x height in metres.
  • A text label turns with the rotate tool like any other object.
  • New ice hockey boards use an IIHF rink by default. You can choose NHL in Settings.
  • Every frame of an exported video carries a faint Tactye watermark.
  • In ice hockey and floorball, you can make a bank pass: right-click the ball or hold the pass handle.

Line-ups

  • Drag line-ups into a new order, and let a football alternative take over the starting formation. This enables you to design different variations of the formations / lines for your games.
  • Base a line-up board on a saved tactic board: its movements stay and the line-up's names go in.
  • Line-ups follow the roster, and a ready line-up stays editable.
  • A player's token follows their answer: red for No, yellow for Maybe, gray when not on the roster.
  • Floorball and ice hockey: players already placed stay on the bench under Used Players and can be copied onto a backup line. A player who is also on an earlier line is shown in violet.
  • Floorball line-ups get the Special tab for power-play and penalty-kill lines.
  • Drag a substitute onto a position, or swap a player on the pitch with a right-click or a long press.
  • More compact line cards, so three or more lines fit on a screen, and on a phone players are seated from a bench strip.
  • A Custom formations card switches between the standard shapes and your team's saved formations.
  • A basketball line with a chosen formation opens the tactic board straight onto it.
  • "Copy from a previous game" offers this team's ten latest games.

Team

  • Feedback surveys. Ask your team with anonymous answers. Tactye can draft the questions and summarise the answers. A question can be a 1–5 scale. Answers open once three people have replied, and you can be notified at half, four in five and everyone.
  • Set the team's own season, and the statistics' Season preset follows it.
  • Statistics bars are clearer: held and upcoming sit together, and the same share is always the same width.
  • Before deleting a staff member, you see how many event rosters they are on.

Calendar and events

  • On a mobile device the calendar fits the screen and its dialogs open whole.
  • The Roster badge turns red with a warning when a picked player has said no or maybe.
  • Only the people on the roster are listed as picked. Everyone else waits under Add someone else.
  • Leaving the event form with unsaved edits asks first.

Practice plans and the Tactical Book

  • A plan that runs over the practice time shows its total in red.
  • Drills and tactic boards can carry a video link from YouTube, Vimeo or other video services.
  • An AI drill or plan import can be translated into your language or keep the document's own.
  • "Generate with AI" starts from the notes the plan already has, and breaks you ask for reach the plan.
  • An empty practice-plan tab shows a Create button instead of the whole form.

Notifications, organisation and AI

  • The bell can be cleared, and a single row removed with its cross or a swipe. Tactye's news now shows in the notifications too.
  • Each team has its own monthly AI allowance, so one busy team no longer blocks the club's other teams. The organisation page shows how much is used.
  • The invitations tab pages through ten at a time and can be searched.
