Who we are

Tactye Oy is the provider of the Tactye Sport coaching platform. When you use our platform, your sports club or academy acts as the Data Controller, and Tactye Oy acts as the Data Processor on their behalf. For questions: admin@tactye.com.

What data we collect

We collect name, date of birth, and team assignment; training attendance and event-specific notes.

Why we collect it

Your data is used to provide coaching and team management features on the platform. What your club enters — players, teams, events and tactical material — is not used for advertising or profiling, and is not sold to third parties. Advertising on our website is a separate matter, described in its own section below.

Who can see your data

Your coaches and club administrators can access your data. Tactye Oy staff access data only where technically necessary to maintain the platform. Beyond that, your data is handled by the service providers we use to run the platform — hosting, transactional email, subscription billing, bot protection, website analytics and, where AI features are switched on, the model provider — each acting only on our instructions and each named, with what it is used for, on our published sub-processor list.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept for as long as your club uses the platform. When a subscription ends, data is deleted within 30 days unless your club requests an extension in writing.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Contact your club or admin@tactye.com to exercise these rights.

You can also delete your own account at any time in your account settings. Doing so deletes your organization, its teams and everything in them, and irreversibly anonymises your account.

Children’s data and parental consent

Where the user is below the digital consent age in their country of residence (see table at the end of this notice), a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent before personal data is entered into the platform. The applicable age varies by country and is set by national law under GDPR Article 8 (or the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 for UK residents).

AI features and your data

Where the platform offers AI-assisted features, what they produce is advisory. A coach reviews and approves it before it is used with a team, and no automated output decides anything about an individual player on its own.

These features are given the least data they need: information about a team and its sessions in preference to the personal details of a named player. A child’s profile is not used to produce an automated assessment of that child, and personal data is never sold or used for advertising. The request itself is answered by a model provider named on our published sub-processor list, which is instructed not to retain it and not to use it to train or improve any model.

You may object at any time, in your account settings, to your material being used to train or improve AI systems. The objection is recorded with its date, and it also turns AI features off for your account. Where you manage a child’s profile as their parent or guardian, your objection covers that child’s material as well. A player entered by the club who has no account of their own is treated as objecting, because there is nobody to ask.

Material strictly necessary to provide the service is unaffected. To object on behalf of someone whose profile you do not manage, contact your club or admin@tactye.com.

Advertising on our website

Some pages of this site carry advertising supplied by Google: the home page, the features page, the about page, and the dashboard you see after signing in. No other page does.

For that advertising Google is an independent controller rather than our processor, so it decides for itself what it does with what your browser tells it — your IP address, the page you are reading, and the identifiers it stores on your device. It asks first: a consent message from Google appears on your first visit, and you can change your answer at any time from the advertising privacy settings linked in the page footer and in your account settings.

Ads on the signed-in dashboard are requested as non-personalized, so they are chosen from the page and not from any profile of you. Nothing your club enters — players, teams, events, attendance or tactical material — is sent to Google, and no account data is used to target an advertisement.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Your data is stored on servers within the European Union, and the club content you enter is processed there. Some of the providers on our published sub-processor list are established outside the EU/EEA; where a transfer to one of them takes place, it relies on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or on appropriate safeguards under Article 46 GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. The list states where each provider is established.

Complaints

If you believe your data is being mishandled, you may contact the relevant national data protection authority (e.g. Traficom / Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland, or the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom).

Digital consent age by country (GDPR Article 8)

Under GDPR Article 8, each EU/EEA Member State sets its own age below which a parent or legal guardian must consent to the processing of a child’s personal data. If the child is below the age listed for their country of residence, a guardian consent must be recorded before the child’s data is entered into the Tactye Sport platform.
